SCHOLA CANTORUM OF SANTA FE - ANCIENT SOUNDS

What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than to attend a concert by the Schola Cantorum of Santa Fe - a singing ensemple that performed in the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe church on Sunday evening. They sang sacred and ancient Chrismas music of the Renaissance and charming Gregorian chants.
The ten, talented members of this charming group share the historic music of the Roman Catholic Church through its concerts and outreach  programs.
Each of their songs had a "story" so you learned a bit about the composer or the lyrics or the historic context of the time.
And their voices filled the church - a perfect stage for their beautiful and ancient sounds.

DOUBLE TAKE - DOUBLE FUN

This is a very fun place to browse away an hour or so. There are scads of vintage cowboy boots; colorful cowboy/girl duds; pawn Native American jewlery galore; folk art; pottery; paintings; racks and racks of second-hand adult and childrens clothes; and wonderful surprises, especially on the second floor. Here's a visual walk through.

And this handsome fellow will greet you at the door.
